Lookie what I have!

I did it! I finished the Wildfoote socks 3 minutes ago! I realized right before I started binding off the second sock that the foot was about 3/4 inch longer than the first sock-and it was SOOOOOO much easier to put on! The first one I have to stuggle and pull it up part by part but not this one. It was like a normal one!

So this is my first completed pair of socks using sock yarn...and look
how long it took!

I did this last night while watching tv and fighting off sleep. Its the Multidirectional Scarf.

Here's some project spectrum stuff for ya. Not all of my pink stuff is there b/c I have tons of pink. Its not even my favorite color.
And here it is 20 minutes later and I'm still wearing my socks (I HATE wearing socks indoors!)

OMG

OMG its been sooooo long! Sorry!

The first week I was out of town since it was spring break and all. Then last week I just had a ton of schoolwork to do and kept trying to get someone to cosign for me so I can move this August, AND this weekend a good friend of mine passed away so I havent had any time to do anything that I wanted to do!

I *have* been buying a ton of yarn so I've decided to go on a yarn diet for the month of April.

There's two hanks of Manos del Uraguay (co.114) that I bought yesterday for My So Called Scarf
There's two hanks of Lorna's Laces in Ravenswood for socks of course.
6 hanks of tahki cotton classic for either a tank top for me or some sweater for my cousin.
Sockotta yarn.
The blue hank on the far right is one of 6 skeins of Lamb's Pride Superwash that I got on sale! I'm going to use it for a sweater.

I got everything but the Manos and the Lamb's Pride at a yarn store in Williamsburg, my hometown this Sat. And the other two I bought at a yarn store here in Richmond yesterday before going to work.

BUT since my mom loves the socks I made for her, and wants another pair I'm allowed to get yarn for that-her birthday is April 15th...although I doubt I'll have them finished by then. I'm such a slow knitter. Nor do I knit for long periods of time.

This was the beginning of a scarf that I started last night when I was suppossed to be studying for a test I had today. Its from the book Knit Scarves. As you can see I didnt start the selvage edges until after I've already knitted an inch...I thought well I'll just fix it somehow later. Then as I saw how the scarf was knitting up in those stripes I decided to frog this and use the yarn for a Multidirectional Scarf. Good thing I didnt buy the Noro Silk Garden yesterday that I was going to use for this very scarf.
(That's some Project Spectrum content as well for ya. Havent taken pictures of what I wanted to yet.) See how good I am at procrastinating? Here's another example:

Can you believe I'm still not done with those Wildfoote socks. I'm GOING to finish them by Thursday, if not Friday so i can enter them for the sock a month KAL.

So 2 single socks

I finally bound off the wildfoote sock that I had just sitting on the needles waiting to be bound off in a manner that would allow the sock to actually go over my ankle. It's a little tight so for the next sock I'm going to increase the number of stitches. I didnt even use a whole skein...

I started the socks in the Interweave magazine but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep knitting it. I love the yarn though (Gems Opal) Its soft and knits up fast.

SOS

Apparently I have second sock syndrome as well. I haven't touched that second Jaywalker since that last time you saw it mentioned. I actually havent had too much time to knit in general this week. I didnt knit at all Monday, Tuesday I turned the heel on this Wildfoote sock. Wednesday I think I did about 2 rounds. Maybe a couple more. And today I was busy running errands and such b/c I wanted to be in the nice weather we had today. It'll be gone tomorrow. So now that my school week is done and I dont have to work this weekend I can knit!!!

I have my Praxis exam Sat morning though so I should be studying for that tomorrow. I should be doing it now to but I've been going nonstop today. I'm trying to see if my friend B wants to have a knit/sew night. I have no friends that are serious knitters here in Richmond. J knits but she's back at home and works. So sad, I miss her.

Anyways, here's my wildfoote sock as of Sat or early Sunday:

I was going to put a pic of it as of Tuesday with the heel and all but as I was going to put it onto blogger I realized I didnt take one of it since this point. And I'm too lazy to do so now. As you can see the toe is messed up but oh well. The second sock will be better.

I really want to cast on for a bolero for my cousin using that Cotton Fleece. And the socks in Interweave Knits using that red yarn.
