So Behind

I've done a lot of progress on items that I havent mentioned here. And I have no up to date progress pictures due to not being able to take pictures while its still light out. And my pictures suck when taken at night.

Here's what I've been working on:
  • Tivoli in Brown Sheep's Cotton fleece in Wisteria-Just after the waist decreases; haven't knit on it for a week
  • 3x1 ribbed socks in Lorna's Laces Sheppard Sock in Ravenswood (which should be renamed Blue Raspberry due to its luscious colors...at the beginning of the the heel)
  • Twisted Ribbed socks in LLSS in Jeans (just a little past the toe)

Both pairs of socks are being knit toe up due to me not knowing how long I should make the cuffs and also in case I get bored I can end it earlier than I would if I was going cuff down.

Here is a picture of Tivoli before I did any of the decreases (taken ages ago). Although you can't tell here the yarn is streaking which sort of pisses me off b/c I paid $9 for each skein and they are allllllll like this. And I know I can get streaked Cotton Fleece (2nd mills) for $4.50 on ebay!! So does anyone else know if Cotton Fleece is normally streaked?
Other than that I like working with the yarn.

frustration

Why is it that none of the yarn stores in this area don't carry any solid sock yarn?! I want to make lace socks!

Although this has helped me not make any yarn purchases. But still!

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a great holiday!* I did despite the lack of family time!=(

My roommate bought some orange daisies-aren't they beautiful? They're on the kitchen counter making our apartment homier. FINALLY some Project Spectrum color!
I have a lack of orange and yellow.

I finally have a pictur
e of my Multidirectional Scarf. I was skeptical about taking this picture outside as it was 73 degrees F when I had it taken. I didn't want people to think I was crazy. So yeah, now I want it to get cold again. Finished:April 14, 2006 Yarn: Tosca by Lang Yarns Needles: Boyles U.S. size 10 1/2

*No offense if you don't celebrate Easter.

Sooo Hard!

First off, I would like to say THANKS to Meredith for her lovely comments. It made my day!

Why is it so hard to maintain a yarn diet? I went to buy another skein of Louet Sales' Opal yarn in Cherry Red b/c I'm probably going to run out of yarn for my mom's birthday socks (she has BIG feet) and I came out with two more skeins of the Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in more Wisteria and half of a skein of Lambs Pride Worsted (to try it out and see if I like it) in a teal color and a ball winder! But silly me, I forgot to take pictures of these new items before I loaded my wip pics onto the computer. Its late so they'll have to wait until the next post.

This is going to have to be short seeing that it's 2 am and I'm struggling to stay awake to finish this.

Here is my progress on the multidirectional scarf. It hasnt been seeing much action since I started my mom's birthday socks (the Elongated Corded Rib socks from Sensational Knitted Socks) Basically only when I'm hanging out with K. I'm still shocked at how fast it's coming along. Not like the scarf I made for my ex. I wish it was cold so I could wear it ...well I could at night but I dont like to be out late-crazy people.

Here are Mommy's socks! Fast knit with size 3 needles and sport yarn! Which is good b/c its the only way I can finish these by next Sat.

Close up-sorry its blurry. Its the best I can do.

They're HUGE on me but they should fit her feet. I HOPE. B/c I would hate to frog these!

WHERE IS THE NEW KNITTY?!
